We are getting close!

This week there was a lot of progress inside the house. It's funny with home reno projects, the first half of the project always seems to drag. Completing all the foundational items like demo, constructing new walls and electrical, drywalling, etc. seems to take forever, and for those of us not "in it" other than cleaning up, there's not much in the way of helping that can be done. Then all of a sudden its time for the "pretty", like tiling, installing vanities, plumbing, painting, lighting, etc. you begin to see changes happening on a daily basis.

Keep in mind, this is MY perspective. Gary has been working his butt off on this project and probably feels every day he has gained huge strides. He's done such a great job with this project that we are now discussing whether perhaps we should move into this house and Air BnB Paradise Drive. 😜

The kitchen and wet bar area countertops were installed this week. Due to the amount of movement and color in the cabinets, we selected a white quartz with slight veining throughout.

We added pot lights to the kitchen ceiling, changed out all the cabinet pulls and installed a new quartz black sink with faucet and a new task light. The subway tiled backsplash is still to come.

The final decision on the dining room nook was to add a sideboard with a beverage fridge. Below is the start of it. The cabinets are Ikea in the gray color you see on the drawer. We will add the same cabinet pulls as the kitchen cabinets and a wood countertop.

The powder room with a mosaic tiled floor now has its cute navy vanity installed.

One of our favorite rooms in the house is the master suite. Not only is the bedroom large with a light airy feel, but Gary did an AMAZING job with the ensuite. All that is left are vanity mirrors (on order) and the shower glass for the pony wall. We LOVE the way this room turned out!
